Tights, Leotards & Dancewear in Chatham-Kent
Act One carries practical dancewear for class, rehearsal, recital, competition, theatre, and performance. Our current inventory includes a substantial range of Capezio tights, leotards and bodysuits, skirts and wraps, plus selected dance accessories. We keep both children’s and adult options and work with studio dress codes, performance requirements, and real-world fitting needs.
Our inventory changes through the season. Some styles are current core products, while others are inherited or discontinued pieces that may only be available in one colour or size. If you need something very specific, contact us before making a special trip and we can check what is on hand.
What We Carry Now
Dance Tights
Our tights inventory includes Capezio children’s and adult styles in several constructions, including footed, transition/convertible, footless, stirrup, and fishnet tights. We carry commonly requested dance colours such as ballet pink, black, white, caramel, suntan families, and selected skin-tone shades depending on style.
We also have some legacy and costume hosiery that is no longer part of a current manufacturer range. Those pieces can be useful for theatre, recital, costume work, or a hard-to-match older requirement while stock lasts.
Leotards & Bodysuits
Act One has a broad inherited collection of Capezio leotards and bodysuits in children’s and adult sizes. The assortment includes camisole, tank, short-sleeve, pinch-front, princess-seam, crisscross-back, and other studio and fashion styles.
Black and pink basics are well represented, along with selected white, navy, royal, burgundy, lavender, light blue, hunter, aubergine, mulberry, and other colours from current and previous Capezio collections.
Skirts, Wraps & Class-Wear
We have a surprisingly deep skirt and bottom inventory, including pull-on and wrap styles, children’s and adult pieces, and a mix of current and inherited colours. We have also started adding locally made or small-batch items, including handmade child wrap skirts.
Because this part of the inventory is varied, it is a good section to browse in person. You may find a useful piece that is no longer easy to source through current catalogues.
Dance Bags & Small Accessories
Our dancewear area is beginning to grow beyond clothing. Current additions include Capezio/Bunheads mesh drawstring bags, small dance accessories, and low-cost items such as Act One dance sticker bags.
These are useful add-ons for class, recital, gifts, and keeping small dance essentials together.
Bring the Studio Requirement With You
Dancewear requirements can be very specific. A teacher may ask for one shade of pink tights, a certain leotard colour, a particular neckline, or a uniform that changes by level. Bring the email, screenshot, handbook, costume note, or dress-code sheet. We will help you translate it into something you can actually shop for.
We respect each studio’s choices. If we do not have the exact item, we can tell you what is close, what may be available by special order, and when it makes more sense to go back to the studio for clarification.
Where This Could Grow
Act One inherited a large and interesting apparel collection. We want to let customer demand tell us which parts deserve to become permanent departments. If enough dancers, studios, schools, and theatre groups ask for them, this area could grow into:
- stronger year-round stocks of studio-uniform leotards in locally required colours
- a broader range of adult dancewear and inclusive sizing
- warm-ups, shorts, leggings, skirts, wraps, and layering pieces
- recital and competition tights in deeper colour and size runs
- more dance bags, garment bags, shoe bags, and organizers
- small-batch and locally made dancewear or accessories
- studio-specific uniform programs and coordinated group orders
