If Act One does not have the size, colour, or style you need in stock, we may be able to place a special order through our suppliers.
Special orders can be helpful for dancers, families, studios, schools, theatre groups, and performers who need a specific shoe, tight, dancewear basic, or performance item by a certain date.
How special orders work

- We confirm the product, size, colour, price, and estimated timeline if available.
- A deposit or prepayment may be required.
- We place the order if the item is available from the supplier.
- We contact you when it arrives.
- You pick up the order in store.
What can be special ordered?
Options depend on supplier availability, current stock, shipping timelines, and product requirements. Possible special orders may include dance shoes, character shoes, tights, leotards, dancewear basics, hair accessories, or theatre-related essentials.
Order early when possible
Special orders are especially time-sensitive before recitals, competitions, auditions, school musicals, and theatre productions. Please contact us as early as possible if you need a specific item by a deadline.
For studios, schools, and theatre groups
If you are organizing footwear or basics for a group, class, cast, or production, please contact us early with the style, colour, size range, deadline, and any dress code or costume notes. We can discuss what may be possible.
